Industry folks often ask us how we are able to work in the tri-state area marketing foodservice equipment and supplies. They’ve heard stories about it, and probably want to confirm their biases.

Not unlike you, we love our lifelong home, the only marketplace that we’ve ever known.

Getting around this area presents challenges apparently endemic to our region. From summer subway platforms, to cancelled commuter trains, to the great Cross-Bronx parking lot, for us it’s all in a day’s work.

We’re told that we all exhibit certain little eccentricities here as well. We don’t know about you, but we’re darn proud of the character of (and the characters in) our tight little community of Foodservice Professionals!

The territory tends too, to get knocked on the toughness of our negotiating. Growing up on the mean streets tends to instill that eat-or-be-eaten aesthetic. Hey, if you can’t stand the heat…

We can’t imagine doing what we do anywhere else (mostly because when we’re travelling, we want to – but cannot – ignore foodservice equipment and supplies).

So, when you’re having a particularly bad day, or when a carpet-bagging outsider denigrates our fair city and its surrounds, remember the song lyrics: “If I can make it there, I’ll make it anywhere. It’s up to you, New York, NY”.
